Job summary

Cleveland Menu Printing is hiring a Graphic Designer to create visually engaging menus and print/digital materials for restaurants and hospitality clients. You will collaborate with clients to capture branding, select typography and imagery, and prepare drafts for review.

Qualifications include a degree in art/graphic design and 2+ years of experience; proficiency in Mac-based Adobe Creative Suite and a strong portfolio are required. The role is onsite with a collaborative team environment.

• Proficiency in Mac-based Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
• Demonstrable graphic, layout, and type skills with a strong portfolio.
• Strong organizational ability with a focus on quality and attention to detail, and visual acuity.
• Advanced grammar and writing skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with minimal supervision, and work under tight deadlines.

• Ability to interact effectively with clients, artists, sales staff, and managers.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the client to understand the project assignment to create and layout custom menus for various types of hospitably businesses including restaurants, bars, catering services, spas, etc.
• Select appropriate typography, color schemes, and imagery that align with the client’s identity and enhance the menu’s aesthetic appeal.
• Prepare drafts of design work and provide samples to clients and/or other appropriate staff or departments for review.
• Revise projects as necessary based on collaborative feedback process.
• Consult with Supervisor and/or other team members as needed on complex or specialized projects.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of design excellence.
