About the Lung Transplant FoundationThe Lung Transplant Foundation (LTF) is dedicated to improving the lives of lung transplant recipients by focusing on education, mentorship, outcomes, advocacy, and partnerships.
Position OverviewLTF is seeking a motivated and community-focused Mentorship & Community Engagement Coordinator to support its national peer-to-peer mentorship program for lung transplant patients and caregivers. This individual will work closely with the Program Manager to assist in the delivery of program services, volunteer engagement, outreach, and community-building initiatives.
Key Responsibilities• Support day-to-day operations of the mentorship program, including managing intake forms, scheduling meetings, tracking participation, and maintaining program records
• Assist with onboarding, training, and communications for volunteer mentors and mentees
• Respond to participant inquiries and provide timely support
• Help develop and distribute program materials and updates
• Coordinate virtual events, webinars, and discussion groups
• Support outreach efforts to increase program awareness and participation
• Engage with transplant centers, advocacy organizations, and partners to promote the program
• Collect and organize feedback and testimonials for program improvement and impact reporting
Qualifications• Passion for LTF’s mission and commitment to supporting the lung transplant community
• Experience in community engagement, volunteer coordination, or program support, preferably in a nonprofit or health-related setting
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable with virtual tools and platforms (Zoom, Google Workspace, email marketing, databases)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and work as part of a remote team
