Job summary

Schneider Electric invites applications for a Summer 2027 Project Engineer Intern position in Fairfield, Ohio. The intern will gain hands-on experience supporting a Project Engineer, with mentorship and 1:1 training over a 10-week period in the Energy Management domain within a Fortune 500 company.

Responsibilities include reviewing design docs, maintaining project files, and developing fabrication drawings to meet customer scope. Local candidates authorized to work in the U.S. preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Upperclassman preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex technical details.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Work with a project engineer to understand design documents, specifications, references, and project scope.
• Identify, review, collect, verify and store all project technical documents.
• Maintain the general project files (Autodesk Construction Cloud, Sharepoint etc).
• Develop approval and fabrication drawings to meet customer scope.
• Perform change management for design documents and customer submittals.
• Perform QC during the integration phase to ensure compliance with design documents.
• Prepare final documentation (as built drawings, certificates, O&M documents, Spare Part lists).
• Coordinate handover of design packages to factory for construction.
