Job summary

Bond Vet offers a DVM Student Externship Program for 3rd- and 4th-year veterinary students to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, mentorship-driven clinic.

You’ll work directly with patients, assist procedures, observe surgeries, and engage with pet parents under the guidance of our doctors and veterinary team. Externships are two to three weeks and require enrollment in an AVMA-accredited DVM program.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate effective communication with pet parents and team.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in clinical settings.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate in mentorship-driven environment.
• Be capable of lifting objects up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Provide proof of medical insurance, rabies vaccine, tetanus vaccine, and TB test prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with patients and assist with procedures.
• Observe surgeries and engage with pet parents under supervision.
• Participate in treatment planning and record review as applicable.
• Assist in clinical tasks under guidance of DVM team.
