TravelCenters of America is hiring a Mentor Technician to train technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy‑duty trucks and trailers. You will diagnose wear, recommend actions with supervisors, and complete repairs within your scope.

The role emphasizes mentoring new hires, following a structured curriculum, and collaborating with management to grow skills and ensure safety on the job site.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience in repair or parts shop preferred.
• A strong desire to mentor and train others.
• Basic computer skills and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Train new technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and servicing heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose wear conditions and make customer recommendations with management.
• Complete repairs within capabilities and prescribed guidelines.
• Facilitate and train new hire technicians using a prescribed curriculum.
• Partner with management to identify training opportunities and ensure safety compliance.
