Job description

At Springboard, we’re on a mission to bridge the world’s skills gap, offering transformative online education in data science, UI/UX design, machine learning, and coding. Our courses may be tech-enabled, but we're ultimately human-centric: each student taps into a vast community throughout their time with us, engaging with fellow students, industry-expert mentors, student advisors, and career coaches, the goal of which is to successfully transition students into their dream job. Through this hybrid approach, we’ve helped thousands of learners revamp their careers and, by extension, their lives, with hundreds of top-notch job offers received every year and a near-perfect placement rate for our program graduates.

The Opportunity

The greatest strength of Springboard’s model of education is the mentorship from our exclusive community of industry experts, which includes designers, software engineers, and data scientists at premier consulting firms, Fortune 500 companies, and top-notch technology companies (e.g. AirBnb, Uber, Facebook, McKinsey, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon). As an Associate Recruiter for the Mentor Operations team, you will own mentor recruiting from top-of-funnel to closing candidates. You’ll ensure we are optimizing a high volume of hiring to support enrollment demand across the verticals you own (e.g. design, data science, software engineering) and be responsible for improving KPIs and processes as we scale. If you’re looking for opportunities to work on entrepreneurial projects and build your experience conducting high-volume interviews, this part-time role is for you!

This role is a part-time contract position for up to 20 hours per month.

Responsibilities

  • Reach out and schedule interviews with qualified candidates for the assigned jobs
  • Conduct 30-minute video interviews with candidates to mentor or instruct for our courses
  • Assess candidates for technical and behavioral skills (technical skills will be related to data, design, and software engineering)
  • You’ll diligently manage candidates via our ATS (Greenhouse) by completing structured feedback forms and tagging candidate profiles appropriately to ensure we can make perfect mentor-student matches post-close
  • Work roughly up to 20 hours per month

You

  • Have 2+ years of experience in high-volume full-cycle recruiting or interviewing
  • Experience in technical recruiting a plus
  • Experience in recruiting healthcare professionals a plus
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable engaging with experienced industry professionals
  • Are excited to learn about new verticals/fields and own our mentor recruiting processes
  • Thrive in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment and have an ambitious, creative, entrepreneurial spirit
  • Have experience managing an ATS
  • Are meticulous, cheerful under pressure, and comfortable juggling priorities
  • Love collaborating with talented people to develop effective solutions together, but also enjoy having the autonomy to work on tasks and projects on your own.
  • Have experience with Greenhouse (our ATS)
  • Have experience with Sparkhire or other async video interviewing tools
  • Have worked as / have had a mentor, a dedicated teacher, or a teacher’s assistant

Pay: $50-55 per hour, pending location and experience

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp .
