Mentor Recruiter - East Bay
Compensation – $58,240 per year – salary plus overtime.
Working independently, the recruiter builds and enhances an active network of qualified mentors (adult foster families) through strategic recruitment and selection initiatives, following network/license guidelines. The recruiter develops and implements recruiting tracking tools and strategies, measures campaign effectiveness, and designs new campaigns as needed.
Essential Job Functions
- Manages the recruitment strategy and process for the assigned area, building a prospect network and related campaigns to establish an ongoing pipeline of candidates.
- Conducts cold calls and informational screening meetings, reviews applications, medical examinations, and references, and coordinates related advertising.
- Attends networking and marketing events and represents the company at job fairs, promotional presentations, and other events to recruit mentors.
- Raises community awareness through visits to community locations and leaders, follows up on referrals to source potential mentors, and enhances community relationships. Develops and maintains professional alliances.
- Screens potential mentors following network and state licensing guidelines, including psychological interviews, background checks, home visits, and meetings with families.
- Conducts orientation, home‑study evaluations, and pre‑service orientation.
- Develops, monitors, and maintains the allocated marketing budget, partners with internal marketing resources, produces materials, and maintains the required records.
- Records and reports statistics necessary to measure the effectiveness of recruitment efforts; reports regularly on pipeline activity.
- Co‑ordinates with the Program Director and other staff to facilitate client‑match meetings.
- Compiles and submits application packets once all components are received and advises management whether to proceed to the next step of the certification process.
- Develops informative activities and programs about company services and may participate in mentor retention program development.
- Utilises a CRM system for customer tracking and management.
- Performs other related duties and activities as required. Working hours are likely to fluctuate.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, marketing, or business preferred, and three years of related experience. Demonstrated strong communication skills and understanding of sales and marketing.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
- Current driver’s license, car registration and auto insurance if providing transportation for clients or driving for company purposes.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification as required by state.
