An established industry player in veterinary care is seeking a passionate ER Veterinarian Mentor to join their dedicated team. Heart of Texas Veterinary Specialty Center, located in Round Rock, TX (a suburb of Austin), is currently seeking a full-time ER Veterinarian Mentor to join our team.
We are an AAHA accredited, Fear Free Certified (currently the ONLY ER/Specialty hospital that is certified in the area!), full-service 24/7 hospital, with dedicated doctors providing high-quality medical care to the companion animal population in Austin and surrounding areas. Our specialties include Emergency, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Oncology (Medical). Our long-term specialists are dedicated to quality medicine. We partner with an on-site cardiologist two days a week and have ultrasound (performed with a sonographer and reviewed by a radiologist) available Monday-Saturday.
The hospital is equipped with diagnostic and treatment equipment such as commercial-grade lab diagnostics, ECG, blood pressure monitoring, pulse oximetry, anesthesia, endoscopy, ultrasound (including bedside), telemetry, blood gas analysis, cystoscopy, cryotherapy, and CT imaging. Facilities include an isolation ward. We are planning to move to a new facility built to our specifications in early 2025.
For ER staffing, we have a supportive relief pool. The hospital management and medical directors value open communication and prioritize DVM well-being.
