Job summary

Ambassador Academy Robots & Mentors is seeking enthusiastic Mentors to support students during aftercare hours in Philadelphia. Responsibilities include leading robotics and STEM activities, building positive relationships, and assisting lead teachers with daily programming.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, experience with youth, and a willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification; backgrounds checks are required. This role offers part-time hours Mon-Fri in the afternoons.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education, child development, or STEM a plus.
• Previous experience working with children in afterschool, camp, or educational settings preferred.
• Interest in robotics, technology, or youth development strongly encouraged.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Must pass background checks and clearances (FBI, PA Child Abuse, PA State Police & NSOR).

Job description

Position Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic and dependable Mentors to support students during before and after care hours. Availability: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-6:00 PM or split shift (6:45 AM-8:45 AM & 3:00 PM-6:00 PM). Mentors will engage youth in robotics and STEM-based learning activities while also serving as positive role models and providing consistent emotional and academic support. Must be able to reliably commute to West or North Philadelphia sites.

Position Begins: 8/18/2025

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-6:00 PM
• Split shift: 6:45 AM-8:45 AM & 3:00 PM-6:00 PM
