Job Details

Location: Between 10 Group Homes in Bergen County (5-10-minute proximity)

Program Hours: 24/7 Program, on-site, part-time, with scheduling varying upon shift and availability:

• First shift: 8am-4pm
• Second shift: 4pm-12am
• Third shift: 12pm-8am

Ideal hours: 12-16 hours/week, weekend availability required.

Job Summary

As a Mental Health Worker, you will supervise and support individuals with severe mental illness, assist with appointments, transportation, medication refills, coordinate services, communicate observations, provide counseling and crisis intervention, and develop Individual Recovery Plans.

Responsibilities

• Prepare intake assessments with treatment plans and measurable goals
• Perform ongoing assessments considering age, development, and diagnosis
• Assist clients in meeting goals from treatment plans
• Complete shift-end assessments for communication
• Transport clients safely daily

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences or 3 years of residential facility experience
• At least 1 year of related work or life experience
• Experience in mental health or residential services preferred
• Valid driver’s license and insurable under agency policy
