Riverview Psychiatric Center is seeking a Mental Health Worker to join their compassionate team. You will support individuals with severe mental illness by providing direct care and implementing treatment programs. *Hourly rate includes a $1.00 per hour salary stipend and a $1.00 per hour direct care stipend. Applicants with Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificates on the State's CNA registry will receive an additional $.50 per hour.
Employees in this job classification start at step 5 of the pay scale. Starting salary for promotional candidates will follow contractual requirements.

Job Overview:
Are you passionate about mental healthcare and eager to join a team that shares your enthusiasm and commitment to compassionate care? As a Mental Health Worker, you will provide direct care and support to patients, implementing treatment programs, education, and rehabilitation for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates with mental health experience and who are registered on the State of Maine’s CNA registry.

In collaboration with the community, Riverview Psychiatric Center is a leading facility for treatment, education, and research for individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders. We are committed to quality care, as evidenced by our accreditation by CMS and the Joint Commission.
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) provides health and social services to about a third of Maine's population, including children, families, older adults, and individuals with disabilities, mental illness, and substance use disorders. It also oversees two state psychiatric hospitals and healthcare providers.
