Position Summary: Mental Health Workers in the Group Homes work directly with youth in the program. Mental Health Workers provide supervised therapeutic services to youth with behavioral and emotional difficulties for the purpose of meeting the goals of each youth’s Treatment Plan in a safe and positive environment. Supervision is exercised over several youth on an assigned shift. Because an employee is this position is located in a work environment associated with unstable youth, the work may involve an element of personal danger.Starting Salary Range:Full Time Positions: $18.12 - $20.39 per hour. Salary reflects steps 1-5 of an 11-step pay schedule. The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant’s education and relevant experience.Relief Positions: $17.12 - $19.27 per hour. Salary reflects steps 1-5 of an 11-step pay schedule. The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant’s education and relevant experience.Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:Provide quality supervision, care and treatment for the youth by assist in planning direct care/recreational activities and establishing a positive therapeutic relationship with youthCollaborate with youth on individual treatment goals as determined by the youth treatment team and complete activities and document results accurately and timely.Implement the established treatment modality and Participate in the development, implementation and updating of individual treatment, management and discharge plans in collaboration with supervisors and appropriate others.Serve as a facilitator for support groups.
