Job summary

Sheppard Pratt is seeking a Mental Health Worker for the Co-Occurring Disorders unit in Elkridge, MD. This PRN role involves participating in patient care planning, delivering direct care under nursing supervision, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment on a 17-bed unit serving patients with psychiatric conditions and substance use disorders.

• HS Diploma/GED is required. Human Services related degree or past direct care or related experience strongly preferred.
• Must be available to work every other weekend (Sat & Sun).
• All new clinical staff will begin extended clinical orientation/training immediately following first day of employment.

• Participate in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on patient behaviors.
• Provide direct patient care services in accordance with the treatment plan and under the direction of a professional nurse.
• Assist in providing a safe and therapeutic environment according to established policies and procedures.
