Job summary

HIGHLAND-CLARKSBURG HOSPITAL in Clarksburg, WV is seeking a Work Program/Transport Aide to support vocational rehabilitation for psychiatric patients and manage patient transports within the facility. Reports to the Director of Activities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret instructions and follow procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate with patients and staff.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registration: Valid West Virginia driver’s license.
• Ability to work flexible hours and with individuals with mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervises patients in the work program; manages hours, duties, and time-keeping.
• Evaluates patient participation and progress related to job duties.
• Communicates with patients at their level and documents progress.
• Ensures safety and proper handling during patient transports inside and outside the facility.
• Initiates incident reports and coordinates routes for transport as needed.
• Supports orientation of new employees and adheres to infection control policies.
