Job summary

Embark Behavioral Health in California is seeking a fully licensed LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC to provide individual, family, and group therapy within our adolescent short-term residential program in San Martin.

The role focuses on a small caseload of six to eight clients, collaborating with an interdisciplinary clinical team to deliver high-quality clinical care for teens aged 12-17 and their families.

Qualifications

• Active California license as LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC.
• Experience providing individual, family, and group therapy.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain an NPI and CAQH profile as part of onboarding.
• Preferred: 2+ years of post-licensure clinical experience.
• Preferred: Experience in residential treatment, PHP, IOP, psychiatric, crisis, substance use, or other high-acuity behavioral health settings.
• Strong clinical skills working with adolescents, families, and multidisciplinary treatment teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy for adolescents ages 12-17 in a residential treatment setting.
• Maintain a focused, small caseload of approximately 6 to 8 clients, allowing for individualized treatment and family engagement.
• Develop, update, and collaborate on treatment plans with an interdisciplinary clinical team.
• Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, and therapeutic support during periods of emotional distress.
• Conduct parent coaching and family sessions that support treatment progress and successful transitions home.
• Coordinate discharge planning and aftercare recommendations with families and referral partners.
• Complete clinical documentation, treatment notes, and assessments in a timely manner and in accordance with program requirements.

Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000annually (DOE)

Eligibility for bonuses upon completion of Therapist Mastery Program:

• Years 1-2: $4,000 bonus eligibility
• Year 3: $5,000 bonus eligibility

Embark is seeking a fully licensedLMFT, LCSW, or LPCC to provide individual, family, and group therapy within our adolescent short-term residential treatment program in San Martin, just south of San Jose. This role offers a focused caseload of approximately six to eight clients, allowing therapists to build meaningful relationships with teens ages 12-17 and their families while delivering high-quality clinical care.
