What We Are Looking For:

A Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC) with substance use treatment experience (CADC or LADC preferred) to join our compassionate, culturally-informed, and comprehensive behavioral health and psychiatric team.

Key ResponsibilitiesTherapist/counselor will provide:

a. Client Assessment and Diagnosis:

1. Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments to understandclients' mental health status and needs.

2. Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify psychological

disorders and formulate treatment plans.

b. Therapeutic Intervention:

1. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.

2. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, adjusting as necessary based on client progress and feedback.

c. Case Management:

1. Coordinate with healthcare providers, schools, and community resources to support clients’ comprehensive care.

2. Advocate for clients’ needs and rights within the healthcare and social services systems.

d. Crisis Intervention:

1. Respond to clients in crisis situations, offering immediate support and intervention.

2. Develop safety plans and provide follow-up care to ensure client stability.

e. Documentation and Compliance:

1. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with regulatory standards.

2. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations.

f. Professional Development:

1. Participate in regular supervision, training, and continuing education to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.

2. Contribute to a collaborative team environment, sharing insights and strategies with colleagues.

Qualifications:

1.Education

a.Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution. b. Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, or arelated field from an accredited institution. c. CADC and LADC preferred.

2.Experience

a. Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience providing therapy and mental health services. b. Experience with diverse populations and a range of mental healthissues.

3. Licensure

a. Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW),Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and FamilyTherapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist. State of Maine licensure is preferred and will be required prior to initiation of patient care services.

Skills:

a. Strong therapeutic and diagnostic skills in the telehealth setting.

b. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

c. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

d. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

e. Experience working with specific populations such as children, adolescents, or individuals with trauma-related disorders and substance use disorders. Experience with rural and underserved communities is highly preferred.

f. Specialized training or certification in modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), etc preferred.
