MultiCare Health System seeks a Mental Health Therapist to deliver clinical counseling and case management for adults in the Expanded Community Services program. You will partner with caregivers and other professionals to support stable residence and improved quality of life in community settings.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, provide advocacy, and ensure documentation and contract authorization requirements are met, while traveling between clinic and community sites as needed.

Expanded Community Services (ECS) Program

The Expanded Community Services (ECS) Program is a collaborative team of Behavioral Support Specialists, Peer Specialists, Psychiatric Medication Providers, and Program Leadership dedicated to supporting adults with complex behavioral health needs living in Adult Family Homes (AFHs) throughout Pierce County.

Our team provides behavioral support services designed to help clients remain successful and stable in their residence while enhancing their quality of life. We partner closely with caregivers, offering education, consultation, and practical strategies to better understand and manage challenging behaviors. In addition, we work collaboratively with DSHS, Home & Community Case Managers to ensure clients receive comprehensive, person-centered support.

FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8 hour-shifts; 40 hours/week. After 90-day probationary period, there is opportunity for flexible scheduling, e.g. (4)10-hour/days.

Position Summary

The Mental Health Therapist is a vital role at MultiCare, responsible for the delivery of clinical counseling and case management services. From patient advocacy to therapeutic interventions, this position will offer you dynamic engagements in your daily work functions.

Responsibilities:

• You will provide person-centered counseling, advocacy and case management for patients
• You will develop treatment plans which clearly identify the patient's voice, treatment strategies, and specific outcome measures
• You will meet agency documentation standards
• You will meet authorization requirements of contracts
• You will strategically tailor effective clinical/case management services to meet diverse patient needs

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health related field required; Master's degree preferred
• Washington State Counselor Agency Affiliated Registered (ACCR) credential must be applied for within thirty (30) days of hire. Employees may work while the application is pending for up to one hundred twenty (120) days, unless a higher credential is already held: Counselor Agency Affiliated Certified, Counselor Agency Affiliated Licensed, Mental Health Counselor Assoc (LMHCA), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Marriage & Family Therap Assoc (LMFTA), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), SW Associate Advanced License (LSWAA), SW Advanced Lic (LASW), SW Assoc Independent Clinical Lic (LSWAIC), SW Independent Clinical Lic (LICSW)
• Previous experience providing mental health counseling services preferred
• Driving is an essential function of this position. The incumbent will routinely travel between clinic, community, patient, and business locations in the performance of assigned duties and may be required to operate a personal vehicle and/or agency-owned vehicle. A valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and acceptable driving record in compliance with agency vehicle-use requirements are required

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $30.40 - $43.75 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
