Job Title: Mental Health Therapist Bilingual

Division/Program: Star View Teammates - Early Psychosis Intervention

Starting Compensation: $73,316.25 - $78,718.50 USD Per Year

Working Location: Lancaster, CA

Working Hours/Shift: Mon - Fri: 8 AM - 5 PM (flexible scheduling)

What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):

  • Master's degree in a Mental Health, Human Services, or closely related field.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in mental health field, with direct service experience with severely emotionally disturbed families/children; experience with high-risk families/children, including those with dual diagnosis in residential or outpatient settings.
  • MHS II: Registered with CA BBS as an MFT Intern or ASW.
  • MHS III: Licensed in California as LMFT or LCSW.
  • Valid California Driver's License.

How you will make a difference (job overview):

This position has primary responsibility for providing mental health and case management services to adolescents and their families. The Mental Health Specialist (MHS) offers assessment, evaluation, individual and family therapy, collateral work, crisis intervention, skill-building, and treatment planning. Acts as liaison with external agencies and collaborates with team members. Attends Child & Family Team (CFT) meetings and actively participates in the process. May require additional training and certifications as needed.

Division/Program Overview:

  • Community-Based and Family Centered programs.
  • Offers Wraparound, Intensive Field Capable Clinical Services (IFCCS), and Outreach Triage services across the county.
  • Provides 24-hour referral receipt and crisis intervention.
  • Serves SED children and adolescents in a client and family-driven program.
  • Contracts with DMH, Child Protected Services, and Probation.
