Job Overview

Under the supervision of a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, conducts mental health assessments on jail prisoners, develops, documents, and implements treatment plans, and provides direct treatment and case management services. Collaborates with prisoners' families, healthcare providers, and security staff to ensure appropriate care.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $50,267.36 - $75,403.12 DOE
• $5,000 Sign-On Bonus
• Annual premium pay: $6,266
• Environmental pay: $1 per hour worked

Note: All relevant experience must be included on the resume for salary consideration.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Licensure in Clinical Social Worker (CSW), Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACMHC), or Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT).
• Must pass pre-employment and ongoing background checks.
• Must be a resident of Utah at the time of hire.
• U.S. Citizen.

Essential Functions

• Conduct assessments and screenings.
• Complete documentation for services provided.
• Provide outreach and education on mental health and substance abuse.
• Conduct trainings on suicide prevention, mental health, and treatment access.
• Explain treatment options to clients.
• Offer group and individual therapy, along with case management.
• Coordinate care with multiple agencies.
• Provide crisis intervention services when necessary.
