House of Mercy in Des Moines, IA is seeking a full-time mental health therapist to provide comprehensive services, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning for clients and families. You will deliver therapy in individual and group sessions, provide crisis intervention, and connect clients with appropriate supports while coordinating with other House of Mercy professionals.
A Master's degree in a human services field and a temporary Iowa license or LMSW are required, along with
Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Provides the following services to clients including: conducting face-to-face assessments; establishing diagnoses; making treatment suggestions; ordering Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) services (when indicated); and, assisting with referrals to BHIS providers. Provides mental health, substance abuse, trauma, and personal growth related therapy services to clients. Responsibilities encompass the provision of advanced evaluative, preventive, therapeutic, restorative and personal care services to assist in meeting the complex psychosocial needs of clients and their families, thus enabling them to better utilize program services and resources in order to achieve their optimal level of change/well-being.
