IHA in Des Moines, IA is seeking a licensed mental health professional to provide comprehensive therapy services to diverse clients in an in-house setting. You will conduct assessments, diagnose, develop treatment plans, and coordinate BHIS referrals, delivering individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and supportive counseling.
Requires a Master's in a human services field and a temporary Iowa license or LMSW, with training in Mandatory Reporter abuse and strong communication with
Provides the following services to clients including: conducting face-to-face assessments; establishing diagnoses; making treatment suggestions; ordering Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) services (when indicated); and, assisting with referrals to BHIS providers. Provides mental health, substance abuse, trauma, and personal growth related therapy services to clients. Responsibilities encompass the provision of advanced evaluative, preventive, therapeutic, restorative and personal care services to assist in meeting the complex psychosocial needs of clients and their families, thus enabling them to better utilize program services and resources in order to achieve their optimal level of change/well-being.
