Job Description:

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Maintains safety and structure of the milieu, observing and recording patient information pertinent to the treatment plan and reporting information to appropriate staff.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to assess changes in patient status and gathers relevant care data; provides crisis intervention to maintain safety (40%)
2. Provides direct patient care, including activities of daily living, vital signs, specimen collection, assisting with exams, treatments, and patient-focused testing; group facilitation; reports changes in physical, mental, or emotional conditions; suggests modifications to the treatment plan (40%)
3. Leads or co-leads social, recreational, and therapeutic activities to enhance social and interpersonal skills (15%)
4. Participates in unit activities such as supplies stocking, patient transport, and equipment cleaning (5%)
5. Performs additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of relevant experience/education
• CPR – American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Clearance
