Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital is hiring a per diem Mental Health Technician (MHT) for 12-hour shifts, including rotational weekends and holidays.

Mental Health Technicians are responsible for:

  • Assisting the RN in delivering care, observing patient behaviors, and more.
  • Reporting and documenting any changes in patients' mood or behavior promptly.
  • Providing one-on-one sessions with assigned patients as needed.

Technicians will maintain a full patient caseload with an assigned primary nurse in an inpatient setting, providing effective and compassionate care for all patients.

Qualifications for this position include:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • At least 12 college credits; a full college degree is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral health field is preferred.
  • One-year experience with behavioral health clients is preferred.
  • BLS certification through AHA is required.
  • Must be trained in PEAT and capable of safely scheduling and restraining an aggressively acting-out patient.
