The Elliot Health System's Pathways unit is seeking a Mental Health Technician to support an adult inpatient behavioral health program. You will work under the RN Charge Nurse to provide direct care, help maintain a therapeutic milieu, and promote patient safety and well-being.

Job Description: Mental Health Technician – Pathways

Who We Are: Pathways is our 16-bed adult inpatient behavioral health unit. Elliot Behavioral Health Services is staffed by a team of mental health professionals who tailor both evaluation and treatment services to each individual patient. These patients with persistent mental health illnesses are admitted voluntarily or involuntarily for 5-14 days. Our state-of-the-art units provide a wide array of equipment and patient acuity depending on a nurse’s professional interests, certifications, and experience level.

About the Job:

The Mental Health Technician works under the direction of the RN Charge Nurse, and shares responsibility for providing and maintaining a therapeutic milieu through supervised therapeutic activities. The Mental Health Technician facilitates and provides direct care for patients of all ages; supports the therapeutic milieu; ensures the safety and well-being of patients.

What You’ll Do:

• Participates in conversation, recreational activities, and basic living activities
