BayCare Health System is seeking Mental Health Technicians to join our compassionate team at Northside Behavioral Health in Tampa.

Mental Health Technician II Position Details:

• Facility: Northside Behavioral Health
• Location: Tampa, FL
• Status: Full time & Pool, Hourly
• Shift Hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM or 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
• Weekend Work: Every Other
• On Call: No

The Mental Health Technician II Responsibilities:

• Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.
• Assists with physical care under the direction of an RN.
• Promotes coordination of the unit by completing orders, making phone calls, and directing calls and information to the charge nurse.

Minimum Requirements:

• Certification/Licenses: BLS (Basic Life Support); CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred; Patient Care Technician - preferred
• Education: High School or Equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field
• Experience: 6 months of psychology-based experience or a bachelor's degree in a related field for the Technician II role; 6 months of psychology-based experience for the Technician Pool role
