Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking full-time Mental Health Technicians to support patients across inpatient and outpatient programs. The role emphasizes continuous care, safety, and therapeutic engagement in a structured environment, with the MHT serving as a positive role model.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: One year of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
• Certifications: CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.

Mental Health Technician (MHT) Position Summary:

We are currently seeking full-time mid‑shift Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) to support our patients. As a member of the treatment team, the MHT provides continuous care, supervision, and therapeutic engagement to patients. This role is essential in creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment while serving as a positive role model for patients.

Mental Health Technician (MHT) Key Responsibilities Include:

• Assist in maintaining a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for patients.
