Benchmark Behavioral Health System, Inc. in Woods Cross, UT, is hiring a Mental/Behavioral Health Tech to support teens through trauma-informed care and group activities. The role offers structured shifts, on-site work, and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will engage with residents through psycho-educational groups and coaching to build pro-social skills, while maintaining safety and supportive routines. Requires HS diploma; 21+ and successful background checks are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelors' degree preferred, but not required, in a human service field or working toward a degree
• MUST be at least 21 years of age or older to apply
• MUST be able to pass a criminal history background check and drug screen
• Resiliency - ability to manage stress in a dynamic environment
• Consistency - dependable and consistent presence for residents

Responsibilities

• Active Engagement – assist with psycho-educational groups, physical activities, therapeutic and scholastic assignments and coaching pro-social skills
• Empathy and Trauma Informed Care – compassionate listening and redirecting negativity to help residents heal from past trauma
• Modeling and Coaching – work collaboratively to promote pro-social skills and improve self-esteem
• Safety and Security – maintain engagement and supervision to ensure safety and routines

Hourly rates from $17.00 - $22.00 per hour based on education and relevant experience PLUS generous additional pay of $2.00 to $4.00 per hour depending on the day and shift - see below for shift details

Our Behavioral Health Techs (BHT/MHT) use a TRAUMA INFORMED CARE APPROACH to working with adolescents. We will teach you how to apply these principles in an effective and positive manner so you can help us change lives!

Your role as a Behavioral Health Tech (BHT/MHT) provides services to our residents through:

Active Engagement - Assisting with psycho-educational groups, physical activities, therapeutic and scholastic assignments and coaching pro social skills by modeling healthy relationship building skills.

Empathy and Trauma Informed Care - Compassionate listening and re-directing negativity to ensure the resident feels safe which helps them towards healing past trauma.

Modeling and Coaching - Working together in a collaborative environment with their peers helps promote pro-social skills and improves their self-esteem.

Safety and Security - Consistent engagement and supervision of the residents is a priority that will ensure safety and provides much needed routines.

FULL TIME SHIFTS AVAILABLE

AM Shift: Sun - Thurs (6am - 2pm) + $4.00 per hr shift differential on Sunday

PM Shift: Tues - Sat (2pm - 10pm) + $2.00 per hr differential Tues-Thurs & $4.00 on Fri & Sat

Weekend Shift: Friday & Saturday (6am-2pm), Sun & Monday (2pm-10pm) PLUS choose your 5th (8hr) shift + $4.00 per hr shift differential on Fri, Sat & Sun & $2.00 on Monday

Grave Shift: Wed - Sat (10pm - 6am) + $3.00 per hr differential Wed & Thurs and $4.00 per hr Fri & Sat
