Mental Health Technician – Behavioral Health

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Fulltime, Nights; 7:00p – 7:00a

Behavioral Health Department Highlights

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma and 1 year of experience or
  • 1 year of inpatient experience in behavioral health as a MHT, PCT, CNA, or related position (preferred)
  • High School Diploma and CNA certification required
  • Associate’s degree in healthcare (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare (preferred)
  • Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with and coordinate patient care
  • Support all patient care provided by the multidisciplinary team
  • Encourage and instruct team members
  • Greet and orient patients, review safety procedures, and prepare patients for discharge or transfer
  • Assist with gathering and returning patient belongings (excluding medication)
