Job summary

SpectraCare is hiring a Mental Health Technician III for the Crisis Residential Unit in Dothan, Alabama. The role supports consumers with daily living tasks, safety, and care under supervision, using MAC-certified medication assistance and a MAC/RN-supported framework.

Shift pattern runs 12 hours (7 AM–7 PM) on a rotation of weeks, with base pay of $14.00 per hour. Applicants should have a HS Diploma/GED, a valid driving record, and willingness to complete background checks and screenings.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21+ and have a good driving record.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• CPR and MAC certification required upon hire.
• Experience in mental health or substance use treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation and facility cleaning to meet consumer needs.
• Teach group and individual basic living skills.
• Provide transportation using program vehicle when required.
• Ensure efficient operation of the facility.
• Assist with medication administration under nurse supervision (MAC certified).
• Complete required documentation in the electronic health record system.

This position will be located at Intermediate Care Program in Dothan, Alabama

12 HOUR PITMAN SCHEDULE 7AM - 7PM

WEEK I: MONDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY

WEEK II: TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY

Base Pay: $14.00/hr

Responsibilities:

• Various activities to meet consumer needs including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning of the facility, assisting with daily tasks, etc.
• Teaching group and individual basic living skills
• Providing transportation using system vehicle when required by the program
• Ensure efficient operation of the facility
• Assisting with medication using the MAC certification under nurse supervision
• Completing required documentation using an electronic health record system

Requirements:

• HS Diploma/GED
• Must be 21 years or older, Good MVR, and willing to submit to motor vehicle report check
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Must obtain CPR and MAC certification upon hire
• Prefer previous experience providing patient care in a mental health or substance abuse treatment environment
