Atrium Health in Rome, GA is seeking a Mental Health Technician to assist the RN, coordinate milieu activities, and monitor patient care during program hours. You will help maintain a calm, respectful, and safe environment for patients and staff.

Under supervision, you will oversee daily patient care duties, maintain professional boundaries, and contribute to a supportive treatment setting. Prior mental health exposure is preferred and confidentiality is essential.

The Mental Health Technician, under RN direct supervision, serves as the milieu coordinator. Cares for patients during program hours, monitors specified areas and oversees the daily coordination of patient care duties while maintaining professional boundaries. Provides and maintains a clean, safe, and quiet environment.

Qualifications

• Education
• High school Diploma or GED from an accredited institute
• Experience
• 2 or more years' related experience preferred
• Mental Health experience utilizing Trauma Informed philosophy in caring for patients, handling crisis situations in a calm manner and handling significant amounts of confidential patient information
• Licensure/Certification
• CPR certified
• Crisis Prevention Institute Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certified
• CNA license preferred
