UVA Health in Virginia is seeking an entry-level mental health technician to assist in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental health disorders. You will work with individuals, families, and groups to promote mental health through supportive counseling and interventions, under supervision.

Education requires a high school diploma; CNA certification is preferred and BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Current active CNA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in inpatient psychiatric settings under supervision.
• Deliver support services and activities related to mental health care.
• Assist with assessment, diagnosis, and treatment under clinical supervision.
