Mental Health Technician (Fulltime and PRN)

Perimeter Behavioral of Springfield has immediate openings for Mental Health Technicians (Fulltime Overnights and PRN). We are seeking individuals committed to improving the lives of those experiencing mental health problems.

Perimeter Behavioral Health is a leading provider of mental and behavioral healthcare across several states and care settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, and outpatient services. We focus on delivering hope through comprehensive and personalized treatment programs, ensuring patients receive high-quality care to overcome mental health and behavioral challenges.

Overview: This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing compassionate support to individuals with mental health or behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities:

1. Assess patient behavior and document observations during shifts
2. Model and teach appropriate life skills to promote independence
3. Escort patients and assist with daily living activities as needed
4. Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment
5. Provide de-escalation and physical intervention if necessary (training provided)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ years of experience in healthcare, behavioral, or social services preferred
• Background in psychology, human services, nursing, or social work is a plus
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, lift, and assist with interventions
