Job summary

Baptist Health System, Inc. in Downtown Jacksonville is seeking a Mental Health Technician for the Behavioral Health Unit at Baptist Medical Center. This is a full-time night shift (7:00pm-7:00am) role focused on safe, therapeutic patient care and collaboration with nursing staff.

Responsibilities include documenting observations, supporting patient education groups, and overall milieu supervision. A CPI certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire; a High School Diploma is required,

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Mental Health Technician in our Behavioral Health Unit at Baptist Medical Center in Downton Jacksonville. This is a Full Time Nights opportunity. 7:00pm-7:00am

Mental Health Technician, Job Responsibilities:

• Provides care to patients in a manner that considers safety, comfort, and therapeutic environment under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Documents observations on assigned patients, Communicates appropriate information regarding patient’s condition.
• Assists with patient education groups, total milieu supervision, assists with admissions/discharges as assigned.
• *CPI Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Experience Requirements:

• Less than 1 year Mental Health Technician Experience
• Nursing Assistant Experience
• Corpsman Experience

Education & Credential Requirements:

High School Diploma (required)

Associate of Science (preferred)
