Full-Time (Overnight shift)

Job Description

Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

Ensures patient safety by observing patient behaviors and completing scheduled rounding.

Utilizes verbal de-escalation skills in response to observed patient behaviors, following established protocols for safe and effective management.

Leads or assists with group activities such as community meetings, recreational groups, and other unit activities.

Assists RNs with patient care by completing vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, EKG, phlebotomy, and similar activities.

Communicates effectively with patients, families, staff, and other stakeholders through written, verbal, and telephone interactions.

Supports patients with activities of daily living and encourages independence when possible.

Completes accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies and guidelines.

Participates in meetings and work groups at the unit, hospital, and division levels as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred (12+ college credits in humanities or social services for Philadelphia locations).

Experience: 1 year of related experience preferred.

Certifications: CPR Certified.

Salary Range: $17.60 to $25.08. The actual hiring rate depends on experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is not eligible for an annual incentive.
