Job summary

The Meadows Psychiatric Center is a leading behavioral health treatment facility located near State College, PA. The Mental Health Technician provides continuous patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, supporting patients from adolescence to geriatrics and ensuring safety through observation and de-escalation.

This opportunity is full-time 8-hour or 12-hour shift options: 7:00am-3:30pm or 7am-7:30pm with rotating every other weekend to work.

The Meadows Psychiatric Center is the leading behavioral health treatment facility in Central Pennsylvania. We are located a short distance outside State College, PA. The Meadows is a 119 inpatient behavioral health hospital and has been providing comprehensive services to children, adolescents, adults and older adults for over 35 years.

The Mental Health Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling to patients ranging in ages from adolescent through geriatrics. All MHT’s work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

• A minimum of a High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Post-secondary training or education in related field with experience preferred.
