Job summary

Midwest Center for Youth & Families, located in Indiana, is hiring a Mental Health Technician to support a 74-bed residential DBT program serving youths aged 10–18. This full-time role focuses on maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment and aiding treatment plans.

Available schedules include Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday, with shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. Per Diem/PRN options are also available for flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of behavioral health/psychiatric work experience required; 10-18 yrs preferred.
• College student pursuing behavioral health, psychology, nursing or human services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Implement treatment plan elements and interventions to provide quality care.
• Document and communicate client behaviors.
• Follow clinical and unit programming.
• Assist with patient groups and activities.
• Provide DBT skills coaching with patients.
• Maintain therapeutic boundaries and utilize crisis intervention techniques.

The Mental Health Technician (MHT)

This is a full time, 40 hour per week position. Available schedules include every Sunday - Thursday and every Tuesday - Saturday. There is a competitive shift differential for the evening, night, and weekend shifts.

• Midwest Center is currently hiring for the day (7a - 3:30pm), evening shift (3pm - 11pm) and overnight (11pm - 7:30am) shift.
• Midwest Center is also accepting applications for individuals looking for a Per Diem / PRN position. PRN requires working 1 weekday and 1 weekend day per biweekly pay period.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
