Job Overview

Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Arlington is a leading provider of mental and behavioral healthcare, committed to delivering hope through comprehensive treatment programs. We serve patients across various states and care settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, and outpatient therapies.

Role Summary

As a Mental Health Technician, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to support patients' recovery and well-being, making a meaningful difference in their lives.

Core Responsibilities

• Assess patient behavior and document observations during shifts
• Model and teach appropriate life skills to promote independence
• Escort patients and assist with daily activities as needed
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment
• Provide de-escalation and physical intervention if necessary (training provided)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ years of experience in healthcare, behavioral, or social services preferred
• Education or work experience in psychology, human services, nursing, or social work is a plus
• Ability to work rotating shifts including days, evenings, overnight, and weekends
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, lift, and assist with interventions

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am)
• Weekend rotation required
• Full-time positions available
