Job summary

Three Rivers Midlands, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a dynamic Per Diem Mental Health Technician for 1st shift. The role supports adolescents in residential and RBH services, assisting with treatment plans and daily activities within a structured program.

The MHT collaborates with nurses and clinical staff, maintaining therapeutic boundaries while engaging residents in a variety of activities. This is a full-time position with per-diem holiday coverage requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field with a minimum of 1 year of direct care experience with adolescents/children in Residential Treatment, educational or juvenile settings.
• Valid SC Driver's License preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain therapeutic boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Works with residential and clinical treatment teams to carry out the resident program schedule and master treatment plan.
• Assists nurses in psychiatric/physical treatment and care of residents following facility procedures.
• Interacts with residents in a therapeutic manner and helps other staff maintain appropriate boundaries.

Three Rivers Midlands is seeking a dynamic & talented Per Diem Mental Health Technician (1st Shift)

Three Rivers Midlands is a comprehensive behavioral health facility treating children and adolescents through residential and Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services (RBH). We treat males and females ages 11-18 for a wide spectrum of psychiatric issues, addictive behaviors, and chemical dependency related illnesses.

The Mental Health Technician Key Responsibilities include

The Mental Health Technician (MHT) works closely with all members of the residential and clinical treatment team. Plays an integral part of assuring that the resident program schedule and resident master treatment plan (MTP) are carried out as planned by the Team. Performs various duties assisting nurses in the psychiatric and physical treatment and care of residents in accordance with established methods and procedures of the facility. Interacts closely with residents remaining engaged in the various activities and events that residents experience throughout the treatment day. Interacts with residents in a therapeutic manner at all times and assists other staff to also maintain appropriate boundaries.

This is a Full Time Position.

Per Diem staff are required to work 03 holidays per calendar year, one being either Thanksgiving or Christmas.

• Bachelors degree in psychology or a related field with a minimum of 1 year of direct care experience working with adolescents and children in a Residential Treatment Facility, educational or juvenile setting.
• Valid SC Drivers License preferred
• Requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must possess knowledge of therapeutic relationships, therapeutic processes, adolescent growth and development, limit-setting and behavior management
