Job summary

BayCare Health Systems seeks a Mental Health Technician II at Mease Hospital Dunedin. This full-time on-site role involves monitoring patients, supporting therapeutic relationships, and assisting RNs with care during night shifts. Certification requirements include BLS, CNA preferred, with educational pathways from high school to bachelor’s level preferred.

Mental Health Technician II Position Details:

• Facility: Mease Hospital Dunedin
• Location: Dunedin
• Status: Full time & Pool, Hourly
• Shift Hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM or 6:45 Am - 7:15 PM
• On Call: No

The Mental Health Technician II Responsibilities:

• Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.

Required Certification/Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred

Required Experience:

• Mental Health Technician II - Required 6 months of Psychology based experience or bachelor's degree in related field
• Mental Health Technician Pool - Preferred 6 months of Psychology based experience
