Job summary

Universal Health Services, Southeast Behavioral Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO, is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Technician to join the treatment team under RN supervision. The MHT provides continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling across adolescents to geriatrics.

Qualifications include High School Diploma or equivalent with CNA preferred, two years of related psychiatric care experience, valid driver's license, CPR and required trainings.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent; CNA preferred.
• Experience: Two years of related psychiatric patient care experience preferred.
• Licensure: Valid driver's license required.
• Additional Requirements: CPR certification and specific training completed; weekend/overtime and flexible hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• The Mental Health Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling to patients ranging in ages from adolescents through geriatrics.
• All MHTs work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
