Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Mental Health Technician (MHT) to join the treatment team.

You will provide continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling to patients ranging from five years old to geriatrics, under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The role requires knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques, an understanding of mental illness, and current CPR certification, with Handle With Care training completed within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; CNA preferred.
• Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy, or appropriate therapeutic discipline.
• Two years of related experience with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness (preferred).
• Handle With Care Training within 90 days and before restraining procedures; overtime, some holidays/weekends may be required.
• Current CPR Certification.

Responsibilities
