Job summary

AMFM Healthcare in California is seeking a Client Coordinator to serve as a Mental Health Technician within our treatment programs. You will support clients with daily activities, transport to appointments, observe behavior, assist with self-administration of medications, and help maintain a structured, therapeutic environment.

This role offers immediate openings across all shifts, with part-time and full-time options.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
  • Experience: Mental Health or Residential Treatment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to clients with daily activities, ensuring a structured and supportive environment.
  • Transport clients to scheduled activities and medical appointments.
  • Monitor client behavior, document observations, and collaborate with clinical teams.
  • Assist the nursing team with medication self-administration.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within residential facilities.
  • Lead and document recovery-focused group sessions.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and respond to crises as needed.

Who We’re Looking For

Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED

  • Background Check: Must pass ADP Selective Screening Services and any additional required background checks

  • Valid Driver’s License: Must meet car insurance eligibility requirements

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work on a computer, walk/stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs., and navigate stairs

Preferred Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related feild

  • Experience: Experience in Mental Health or Residential Treatment

Key Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong communication skills with families, clients, and staff

  • Ability to remain professional, empathetic, and patient under pressure

  • Proficiency in Clinical Documentation and Google Suite

Your Role & Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Technician (Client Coordinator), you’ll be a vital part of the treatment process, ensuring that clients receive the care, guidance, and support they need. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Providing Direct Support – Assist clients with daily activities, ensuring a structured and supportive environment

  • Transportation & Safety – Safely transport clients to scheduled activities and medical appointments

  • Behavioral Observation – Monitor client behavior, document observations, and collaborate with clinical teams

  • Medication Support – Work with the nursing team to oversee medication self-administration

  • Environment Maintenance – Maintain cleanliness and organization within residential facilities

  • Facilitating Group Activities – Lead and document recovery-focused group sessions

  • Emergency Response – Adhere to safety protocols, conduct safety drills, and respond to crises as needed
