A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Mental Health Specialist to provide direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, documentation, and maintaining a therapeutic environment. Candidates should have a High School Diploma and clinical experience, preferably in a psychiatric setting. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the MHS provides direct patient care and participates in the therapeutic milieu.
Does this position require Patient Care? Yes
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Cannot accept experience in lieu of a degree.
Licenses and Credentials: Required.
Experience: One year of clinical experience, preferably in a psychiatric setting; 1-2 years preferred. Previous direct patient care experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent communication skills; must complete and pass Epic training within 30 days, with a minimum score of 80%.
Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, manipulations, feeling, foot use, vision, talking, hearing. Specific percentages and weights are provided.
