Mental Health Technician - PT Days - 24 hrs/week - 7:00 AM-7:30 PM - every other weekend

We specialize in providing comprehensive, compassionate behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and adults. Position Summary

The Mental Health Technician performs routine patient care duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with patient admissions, discharges, transfers, monitoring patients for potential aggressive behaviors, and intervening to de-escalate when necessary. The technician also reports sensory perceptual issues, monitors safety, and encourages patient independence while ensuring safety, rights, comfort, and a therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Following instructions from nursing leadership and hospital policies
• Reporting patient medical problems to the RN
• Monitoring sensory perceptions and safety issues, communicating concerns to RN
• Providing care that considers safety, rights, comfort, and a therapeutic environment
• Assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers, with proper documentation

Qualifications
