Responsible for providing direct care to patients with psychiatric disorders; ensuring the safety and well-being of patients; supporting the maintenance of a therapeutic milieu.

Essential Functions
- Assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug, and alcohol patients.
- Advocate for vulnerable patients or those needing additional support.
- Provide parent/family counseling, including Parent Management Training and Family Systems interventions.
- Follow guidelines for patients on special status (e.g., suicide, sexual abuse, or AWOL precautions).
- Provide accurate shift-to-shift reports and remain on the unit during incoming shift reports.
- Think and act quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
- Maintain professional boundaries with patients at all times.
- Complete and file all required documentation in a timely manner.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Licenses and Credentials
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – Data Conversion – Various Issuers preferred.
- Nursing Assistant (LNA - New Hampshire) – New Hampshire Board of Nursing preferred.
Experience
Related experience 0-1 year preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work well collaboratively and independently.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully.
- Basic computer skills.
- Effective communication with patients, healthcare team members, facility personnel, and families/supportive others.
- Attentive listening, understanding points made, asking questions, and appropriate timing for interruptions.
- Successful completion of CPI training within 30 days of hire.
