Job Description: Patient Care Associate

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Associate (MHS) provides direct patient care and participates in creating a therapeutic milieu.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Identifying and reporting house cleaning and equipment problems.
  2. Participating in inventory management and maintaining a clean environment.
  3. Assisting patients with activities of daily living, hygiene, and nutritional needs.
  4. Providing support during tests, exams, and procedures, and ensuring patient safety during transfers.
  5. Maintaining professional growth through mandatory training, feedback, and competency in age-specific care.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • One year of clinical experience, preferably in a psychiatric setting, with 1-2 years preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Completion and passing of Epic training within 30 days of hire.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and reaching; occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and foot use.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs with assistance and carry 20-35 lbs.
  • Constantly required to see, hear, talk, and feel.
