Job summary

Research Psychiatric Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Mental Health Technician to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will support nursing care plans and assist with activities of daily living in a behavioral health setting.

The role requires empathy, strong observation skills, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced inpatient environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in BLS required upon hire and maintained.
• C.N.A preferred.
• Prefer one year of inpatient psychiatric experience.
• Medical Terminology and clerical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to and close supervision of our psychiatric patients.
• Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient vital signs throughout the care cycle.
• Document and report any physical or behavioral changes at time of occurrence.
• Actively participate as part of the treatment team, following facility policies and procedures.

Job Summary and Qualifications

There's never been a greater need for passionate, caring people to enter the Mental Health Profession. The Mental Health Technician delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of basic services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Behavioral Health Tech will have an important role in the implementation of nursing care plans by performing direct and indirect patient care that complies with hospital policies and the State Board of Nursing rules for unlicensed personnel.
