Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral Health in Jackson, TN is seeking a Mental Health Technician/Youth Care Worker to support patients in a therapeutic, safe environment.

This entry-level role involves teaching life skills, orienting patients to the unit, assisting with daily living tasks, and handling restraints when trained, with provided training. Schedule includes a 3 on/2 off rotation; days 6:45am–7:15pm.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent is required. Preferred experience in psychology, human service, nursing, or social work.
• Experience: At least 1 year in assisted living, residential, or hospital settings; psychiatric experience preferred or 1 year as a Corpsman in the Military.
• Schedule: Full-time rotation 3 days on/2 off or 2 days on/3 off; Days: 6:45am-7:15pm.
• Physical: Able to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, push and pull to perform restraints.
• Minimum Age: 21 years or older.

Perimeter Behavioral of Jackson, TN has an immediate opening for a Mental Health Technician/Youth Care Worker!

This is a great entry-level position in psychology/behavioral health!

Our Mental Health Technician responsibilities include some of the following:

• Model and teach appropriate life skills to the patients
• Orient the patients to the unit and assist them with daily living skills
• Provide a safe, clean and therapeutic environment
• Provide physical restraint or intervention if appropriate. Training will be provided

Qualifications for the Mental Health Technician should include the following:

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent is required. It is preferred to have educational or work experience in psychology, human service, nursing, or social work environments
• Experience: At least one (1) year of related experience in a assisted living, residential, or hospital setting. Psychiatric experience preferred or (1) year experience as a Corpsman in the Military.
  • Schedule: If working full time, must be able to work a rotation of 3days on/2 days off 2 days on/3 off. Hours will be Days: 6:45am-7:15pm
• Physical:Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, push and pull to perform restraints

Minimum Age- Must be at least 21 years of age.
