Job summary

Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center is hiring a Mental Health Technician on a PRN basis to support nursing staff under RN supervision. You will perform direct and indirect patient care, document patient information, and participate in care planning with the mental health team.

You will also lead group activities, assist with mobility and transfers, and ensure safety while delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering patient care under RN supervision (MHT role)
• Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient information
• Document observations and patient responses to activities and care
• Lead or co-lead groups on goals, community, leisure, diversion, and wrap-up
• Assist with patient mobility, repositioning and transfers between units
