Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital is a new, 144-bed behavioral health facility providing a full continuum of inpatient services, including specialty programs for adolescents, adults, and older adults. We conduct behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day and offer programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues tailored to each patient's needs.

The Mental Health Technician (MHT) primarily supervises patients, conducting safety checks every 15 minutes, supervising to maintain safety, performing room and environmental checks, property checks, contraband searches, facilitating groups, writing group notes, escorting patients to meals and activities, and providing supervision and safety at all times under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Education: Associate's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or similar field is required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care and understanding of mental illness, is preferred.
Work Hours: 2nd shift, approximately 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., rotating holidays, and every other weekend.
